We are pleased to inform you that Sinor Marine Technologies (s-MT) has entered a Distributor Agreement with Scantrol, effective as of 1^st of February 2017. The agreement primarily covers Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, and covers Sales and Service. Regarding the latter, s-MT will have trained service engineers on Scantrol systems. For projects or requests outside this area we will work on a case-by-case basis after first having made an agreement with Scantrol.

Scantrol, headquartered in Bergen, Norway, specializes in control systems ranging from simple winch control systems to the most advanced controls for offshore support vessels, seismic vessels, AHT vessels, marine research vessels, fishing vessels, semi subs and barges. In recent years Scantrol has focused on making Active Heave Compensation (AHC) technology available for all kind of winches and cranes, for both new and existing systems. Scantrol AHC has been delivered for applications with 500 kg to 150 ton lifting capacity and the company has successfully supplied 65 AHC systems to customers worldwide. In the present slow markets, in particular in the offshore sector, there is an increased interest in the solutions, signalling that the products are both cost-efficient and relevant.

Scantrol has also developed trawl control systems for increased fish catching efficiency and economy. The iSYM Trawl Control can control all modern hydraulic and electric trawl winches. The system focuses on the trawl, and is not required to have 100% perfect winches in order for it to be efficient. Existing autotrawl systems can be upgraded or replaced.
